The designed scheme ensures that students who will study higher are easily able to complete their studies, and after completing it, they are given one year of extended redemption period to find a job and pay it.

What Expenses are Covered?

The BSCCS grants up to ₹4,00,000 loan. These can be used to cover the expenses such as: 

Tuition Fees -

    This is the primary component of the scheme. Your semester or annual tuition fees charged by the college are covered under the scheme if they stay within 4 lakh rupees. This is applicable to all engineering colleges across India. 

Registration / Admission Charges -

    There are many colleges for require a time admission fee at the time. Considering this as an educational expense, it is covered under the scheme If It stays under the slab. 

Library / Lab Fees -

    Colleges do charge an extra fee for library and lab fees, which are special required in technical courses and hence these are also covered under the scheme if it is properly mentioned under the fee structure of the college. 

Examination Fees -

    The scheme also covers the examination fee part if it is clearly brief under your fee structure and also includes under your 4,00,000 slab. 

Hostel Charges (if applicable) -

    The scheme also considers your hostel expenses if it is operated or affiliated directly with your college. The charges must be mentioned in your fee structure and stay within the limit of the loan.  

Note: Private PGs, rented flats, or accommodations outside the college are not covered.

However, once you have taken admission, you are eligible for a loan. And, after all process, the loan amount is directly paid to the college account to avoid mediators' hustle. 

How to apply for B.Tech with the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme

  1. Qualify through JEE Mainsstate-level exams, or direct admission (if allowed by college rules
  2. Apply to your desired college in any state and get provisional or confirmed admission.
  3. Once confirmed with the admission process. Visit site - https://www.7nishchay-yuvaupmission.bihar.gov.in
  4. Click on “New Applicant Registration” and fill in your Aadhaar, mobile, and email details. 
  5. The next step is to log in using OTP → Select your Student Credit Card Scheme → Enter details of your BTech admission → Upload documents. 
  6. Submit your form and keep a note of your Application ID. 
  7. Visit your district's DRCC office with all original documents and clear your counselling & verification process. 
  8. Once verified, the loan is approved and disbursed to the college, and you will be informed via SMS/email.
